Description
Shown on Ordnance Survey second edition. King's Head Inn or King's Head. Jas Deucher acquiired it in 1896. it had a large billiard room and both 'select' and 'common' bars. The premises were fitted with electric light with the exception of the common bar. Popular with those employed at the meat market. It was a pub for lock ins and a place to acquire the Sunday joint at a cost price. The King's Head became The Courtyard in 1983.
