Description:
1996 by Tom Maley. Fibreglass statue of John Edward Milburn (1924-88) in period kit running with a football, 1.8m high, on a stone pedestal. Newcastle United Football Club paid for the pedestal. The artist moved it in 1999 when the stand was being rebuilt. A bronze version was to be put back in 2000.
