SCOTTISH CARGO VESSEL, 1834. Master: Milne. Newcastle Courant 24th October 1834:
`The ROBERT GORDON owned by Milne of Aberdeen from Sunderland with lime, bound for Aberdeen, bore up from the Coquet, for Shields harbour, and in taking Tynemouth Bar fell to leeward, fell upon the Herdsand, where she now remains. Crew saved by the NORTHUMBERLAND lifeboat
