Description

Former Gas Company Offices built in 1867, the first commercial building in Fawcett Street. The building was designed by G.G. Hoskins of Darlington. It is constructed out of brick with sandstone dressing in a High Victorian Gothic style. There is an oriel window in the centre above a granite column with carved foliage.
