Description
A 19th-century façade facing Borough Road that has been incorporated into a recent redevelopment initiative that involved the construction of apartments located on the corner of Borough Road and Toward Road. Since c.1827 the site has been occupied by a public house called ‘The Providence Garden Inn’. The public house was subsequently renamed and became known as the Palatine in 1855. The Palatine Hotel was later renamed Mowbray Park Hotel.
