Description
Bentinck Crescent is a gracefully curving Victorian terrace of brick and stone. Its distinctive style is a reminder of the former housing which once characterised this part of the city. Parts of the crescent have been converted to be used as shops, however some of the crescent retains its original features and appearance. The houses preserve the original door and column lintel designs and the unrendered houses still maintain the contrast between the red brick walls and the painted sandstone lintels over the windows.
