Description
High Street, ‘New Meeting House’ (Society of Friends) 1688-1822 (rebuilt 1718), congregation to Upper Nile Street. ‘with windows high up in the walls to stop unwanted visitors and missiles being thrown through whilst the congregation were at worship’ (Kirtlan 33 who gives old print). Exact location unknown.
