Description

Shown on Ordnance Survey second edition. Seven large houses. No. 1 Stratford Villas was the home of Colin Veitch (1881 - 1938). Captain of Newcastle United Football Club. He was co-founder of the People's Theatre and the Professional Footballers' Association. As well as being a sportman, he was also an actor and politician.
