Description
Shown on Ordnance Survey second edition. This was the best known business of the Potter family - William Potter and Addison Langhorn Potter ran a brewery at Forth Banks from 1787 (HER 4895). The Melbourne Street Maltings were said to be the finest of its kind, housed in an imposing seven storey building. Newcastle Breweries bought it in 1918.
