Description
1995 by Colin Wilbourn, Karl Fisher, Craig Knowles and Chaz Brenchley. This sculpture stands overlooking the mouth of the River Wear on 'Look Out Hill'. It is made of buff coloured sandstone reclaimed from the old north jetty. It features a rug, picnic hamper and folded stool. There is a steel telescope by artist/blacksmith Craig Knowles, set in stone, and a steel diary showing entries written by writer Chaz Brenchley.
