Description
1996-7 by Douglas Hunter. "Tempesta: Where the River Meets the Sea". A large strip of steel painted in oranges, reds, blues and greens, mounted on the south wall of a building on Alexandra Avenue opposite the technology park. Above it in aluminium letters are words from Ezra Pound's poem "Fish and the Shadow": "THE SALMON-TROUT DRIFTS IN THE STREAM/ THE SOUL OF THE SALMON-TROUT FLOATS OVER THE STREAM/ LIKE A LITTLE WAFER OF LIGHT/ THE SALMON MOVES IN THE SUN-SHOT, BRIGHT SHALLOW SEA".
