Description
WW2 barrage balloon site immediately south of the River Tyne and south-east of Scotswood Bridge. It consisted of four concentric rings of posts with a maximum diameter of 50m. The platforms of three probably associated buildings lay just to the south-east of the mooring point. The site has been destroyed by development.
