          Description
Causeway or culvert over Leapmill Burn. In 1858 the burn was cross by a small bridge upstream (east) of the present culvert, causing the road to bend sharply. By 1895 the line had been straigtened, and a new crossing formed some 25m west of the earlier one. This entailed covering-in some 21m of the Leap Mill Burn, effectively forming the present culvert which has a sandstone rubble 'mouth' to the west and a modern lining of a large diameter concrete pipe.
