Description
109-ton, Royal Navy Armed Trawler ran aground after a collision 5th May 1917. Located very close to the coast, approximately 2 miles north of Seaham. Another entry on the NMR database for this ship is given as NZ 56 SW 61 (1366709). This entry gives the location of the Bovic as 3 miles SE of Souter Point. A construction date is also given as 1896.
