ENGLISH BRIG, 1852 Driven on shore behind the North Pier in wind conditions SW x W force 6, in consequence of the tug casting off the tow line prematurely, when still on the Bar. Estimated loss on the vessel, which was insured for only 300 [sterling], was 400 [sterling].
