Description
A BRIG. From South Shields. She was driven onto the Herd Sand during a gale in 1861. The schooner FOWLIS was wrecked on the same day. Her crew were saved by lifeboat. The Sarah Ann was refloated, repaired, and sold to Whitby owners in 1864. A year later she sank after a collision off Flamborough Head.
