Description
A mill is depicted on the Plan of Backworth, Holywell and Longbenton of 1800 and 1828 plan by Greenwood. The name Scaffold Hill Mill survives well into the 20th century presumably as a farmstead. There is no indication of a mill on the 19th-20th century ordnance survey plans.
