Description
Part of the original line of the Brandling Junction Railway, terminating at the station HER ref. 2366. The Brandling Junction Railway was completed in 1839 but this short section was abandoned in 1842 when the line was extended to a new station (HER ref. 2353), behind South Shields market place. The final form of that line is HER ref. 2288.
