Description:
Railway arch. 1849 for York, Newcastle and Berwick Railway Company; northern half added c.1894 for North East Railway Company. Sandstone ashlar. Round southern arch has rusticated voussoirs, flat pilasters, vermiculate band beneath projecting band at rail bed level, and flat-coped parapet. Northern arch wider with voussoirs; cornice at rail bed level; parapet band. LISTED GRADE 2
