"An impression of an antique plain gold ring sent by Sir William C Trevelyan, bought at Malton by a friend who was assured it was dug up in Newcastle. The stone is red, well inserted and exactly on a level with the surface of the ring. The subject is a cupid offering grapes to an aged head".

Silver spoon with foliated knob formerly guilded and marked IBA. Bears the hallmark Q cusped outwardly, for 1613.

" A rubbing and sketch of a stone doorhead by Mr John Ventree. 1599. Now in the garden of Sir WH Stephenson's mansion". Appears from the illustration to be late 15th century or more probably first half of the 16th century, four-centred arch with shallow carved spandrels.

"Small globular object of sandstone about an inch in diameter, found in a Newcastle allotment garden". Donated to the Society of Antiquaries of Newcastle upon Tyne by Prof. Potter in around 1918.

"Mr Ventress presented two Newcastle creeing troughs to the Society of Antiquaries".

"Dr Charlton presented, from Mr Craster, a rusty vessel, apparently a chafing dish, which had been found in an old house in Newcastle". Jenny Vaughan states that metal chafing dishes had superceded pottery versions by the end of 14th century.

An iron spear head, 10.75 inches long with the point broken off, blade 6.75 inches long and 1.5 inches wide, socket 4 inches long was found on the site of the Pearl Assurance Buildings.

Three cannon balls each of 22 pounds were found in the wall in New Bridge Street in 1811. Does this mean the town wall?

A second parapet figure presumably from the town walls, was found in the roadway of Neville Street and was donated to the Society of Antiquaries by Newcastle Corporation on 2 June 1852.

An oak spade, almost 3 feet long, the cutting portion 8 inches long and 6.75 inches wide, was found in Neville Street whilst new water mains were being installed. It was donated to the Society of Antiquaries of Newcastle upon Tyne by Mr L.W. Adamson for Newcastle and Gateshead Water Co. in 1902.
