Description
Curved stone wall built 1946. 5 feet high and 26 feet long with stepped ends on a raised platform with two steps and two seats (now gone). There is a stone plaque on the centre of the back. "IN LOVING MEMORY OF ALL THOSE WHO MADE THE SUPREME SACRIFICE IN THE WORLD WAR 1939-1945". This monument, which stands opposite the WW1 cenotaph (HER 8301) is used by Jewish ex-servicemen for remembrance services.
