1810 wreck of English craft which stranded at Priors Haven on entering Shields; a wooden sailing vessel. The ROYAL OAK of London, on taking Tynemouth Bar on Sunday night in a heavy sea, went upon the rocks at Prior's Haven, and instantly went to pieces. Crew saved
