Description
The Hayhole Lead Works site was established in 1847 and was taken over in 1856 by William Isaac Cookson. Cookson's became part of Associated Lead Manufacturers in 1919 and lead was smelted here until 1926. The Cookson’s works was still at this location in 1977.
