Description
Land laid out around 1868 by the Duke of Northumberland. The first four homes were built at the seaward end of the street between 1868 and 1870. The rest followed piecemeal between 1868 and 1870. Five residents are recorded in 1871, many more in 1886. These include ship owners and lawyers. Three storey houses with dormers. LOCAL LIST
