(although a Baptist group had met nearby since 1767); in 1850 a breakaway group from Whitburn Street Wesleyan Methodist Church met here). ‘A small plain brick building’ according to Whellan. Kelly 1902 mentions a Wesleyan Chapel at Hallgarth Square could this be the same building?
