Channel Island Craft Valliant wrecked during gales February 10th 1871.The ship was wrecked alongside REMEMBRANCE...JANE...ANN...JABEZ...BRITISH QUEEN...and VALLIANT of Jersey...all on the Herd Sand. 'The lifeboats TYNE and NORTHUMBERLAND went off to the rescue with great success, except in the case of the JABEZ, which broke up so quickly, that all the crew were drowned.' (Whitaker)
