No. 167: "Brown flint blade with blunted back and finely worked knife edge. In mint condition with several flakes only partly detached. Found in subsoil about 457 mm down. 4 Oct. 1945 about 50 yards N of the Grange stackyard. A fine knife of Early Bronze Age, probably Beaker period". 57 mm x 28 mm.

As well as the lithic material he recovered from his Site 14 B, south of Clara Vale, Cocks also found "a disc of jet or cannel coal shaped by scraping". 39 mm x 35 mm. No. 6 in his list of "Objects of probable prehistoric origin".

Among the lithic material he recovered from his Site 14 B, south of Clara Vale, Cocks also found a "tapered light grey stone with rounded ends & of rectangular section. Whetstone or burnisher". 86 mm long. Listed in his "Objects of probable prehistoric origin", no. 2. Also from this site, and no. 1 in this category, he included a nodule of magnetic iron ore.

Among the 68 flints which Cocks recovered from his Site 14 B there was a "black flint hammer stone greatly battered. Portions of yellowish skin remaining". 83 mm x 51 mm. No. 233

From Site 14 B, south of Clara Vale, Cocks recovered 68 flints. One of these was a "light grey flint triangular fragment of polished celt with 2 broken edges & 1 ground edge. Slightly calcined. 35 mm x 28 mm x 25 mm. No. 176 He suggested it might be another part of SMR 561. It was set by Cocks in a plaster cast, hence Miket's drawing.

Cocks recovered 68 flints from his Site 14 B south of Clara Vale. Among these were two leaf-shaped arrowheads. No. 124: "Speckled light grey flint irregular leaf shaped arrow head secondary working on face edge and back". 19 mm x 14 mm. No. 187: "Light grey speckled flint longitudinal half of leaf-shaped arrow head, re-used". 35 mm x 12 mm.

Among the lithic material from this site Cocks also found a jet disc, which he recorded in his category "Objects of probable prehistoric origin". No. 8 came from the NW quarter of the site, April 1952. "Disc of jet or cannel coal shaped by scraping on edges". 38 mm x 28 mm.

Among the other lithic material from this site, Cocks also recovered a cup- marked stone with one cup, 150 mm x 107mm. Found in April 1944. No. 3 in his list of "Sculptured Stones".

Among the lithic material from this site Cocks records the discovery, on 27 February 1948, of a cup-marked stone, "with one very deep cup which appears to have been ground out. One end fractured. Use unknown". 70 mm x 76 mm. No. 5 in his list of "Sculptured Stones".

Among the lithic material from this site Cocks also found two jet discs, which he recorded in his category "Objects of probable prehistoric origin". No. 7. "Disc of jet or cannel coal, shaped by scraping. Commencement of perforation on one side". Cocks' dimensions 28 mm x 26 mm do not accord with Miket's 32 mm x 99 mm. No. 10 was found on the N side of the gravelly ridge, 9 April 1953. "Half of large disc of jet or cannel coal with worked hollow in centre of each side, shewing pecking. Disc roughly shaped by scraping". 102 mm x 51 mm x 25 mm thick.
