1996 by Colin Wilbourn and Karl Fisher. 26 relief panels in yellow fire clay set into a red brick retaining wall. Each group of 4 panels illustrates a story on a metal plate between them. Each panel is within a window frame with a latch. The stories include a magic tree written by Fulwell Junior School, a battle between two witches by Dame Dorothy Primary School, local memories by Monkwearmouth Local History Society and a flying fish by St. Benet's RC School. The stories were written with the help of writer Chaz Brenchley.

The perspective is only aligned correctly if viewed from a nearby bench looking through the keyhole of a half door. There is also a stone doorway set into the retaining wall with a sun in stained glass lit from a lamp inside. A third doorway in soft white stone stands separately with two steel oars against it and a stained glass sailing boat and a seagull. Commissioned by Tyne and Wear Development Corporation.

A large mosaic work in stone, concrete and ceramics 3m long and 10m wide set into the bank below Tyne Street to the east of the light house. Depicts sea life - two large cod plus other highly coloured fish and other creatures. The piece is best viewed from the end of Fishermen's Wharf below.
