SITEDESC
Shown on Ordnance Survey second edition. Converted from a beerhouse in 1892. In 1921 it was leased by Robert Deuchar. He bought it in 1930. At the turn of the 20th century the landlord was Robert Macfarlane. He held regular soup kitchens to feed the poor. On New Year's Day 1903, 350 children were fed Scotch broth, beef and a penny bun.
