Sandstone ashlar with plinth and quoins; Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, one bay by 6 on left return, and 2 on right return with adjoining building obscuring remaining bays. Gable to street: rubble plinth; blind Venetian window with raised surround beneath round window in raised surround. Right return: 2 blocked-in carriage entrances have segmental arches on impost blocks; raised surround to 2 round windows above. Left return has late C18/early C19 double door under flat stone lintel in 6th bay; round window high in 5th bay. LISTED GRADE 2

cyma coping, flank entrance to enclosure formed by dwarf ashlar wall,

Built around 1880. An imposing group of red brick handed pairs built with seven large gables to the street. One first bay window has been removed. Some of the window joinery has been replaced. Only a fraction of the decorative timber detailing (bargeboards and window hoods) survives. Nos. 5, 5a and 6 are the most intact. The houses have large gardens with trees and tall hedges. The rears have a variety of offshots. Original rooflights survive, but some tall chimneys and boundary walls have been lost or replaced. There is a tree protected by a Tree Preservation Order behind No. 1.
