House. Late C18. Rendered. Cumbrian slate roof. L-shaped plan. 3 storey part has central 4-panelled door under fanlight and Tuscan doorcase with canopy on wide brackets. Round-headed window over door. Sash windows. 2 dentilled end brick chimneys. 2-storey part has central door flanked by sashes. One rear brick chimney. Spearheaded railings on dwarf wall. House is an east-west range consisting of a three storey house adjoining a two storey building. It was originally constructed as two separate phases before being joined together as one dwelling. Overall development on the site was as it appears today by 1897. The final addition to the main house was the north-west kitchen, first shown on 1950s mapping. Recorded in 2015 ahead of proposed subdivision of the house into two dwellings. There had been a number of internal alterations but the L-plan is still legible. LISTED GRADE 2

House. Early C18 with late C18 and C19 alterations. Thickly rendered, right return coursed limestone rubble. Pantiled roof. 2 storeys. Sash windows with glazing bars. Central 6-panelled door. One ridge chimney at left, 2 end chimneys at right, all of yellow brick with red brick bands and dog-tooth cornice. Interior – window shutters and 8-panelled doors. Elliptical-headed arch in hall has fluted Tuscan pilasters. Staircase with C19 balusters, flat handrail and square newel. Upper stair removed. One 2-panelled door with original hinges on first floor {1}. Striking Georgian south-facing façade with delicate sash windows. Set in a fine lawned garden with an abundance of mature trees. Mrs Sarah Archibold and Miss Dorothy Archibold are listed as residents in Whellan's Directory 1856. The directory lists it as boarding school, Cellar Hill House. Perhaps this was the forerunner of the school built on land adjacent by the 1890s? LISTED GRADE 2

Two barns, now foldyard. C18 limestone rubble with brick dressings. Pantiled roof with stone gable copings. Segmental-headed arcade on square stone piers in north of building, formerly open but now enclosed in low later lean-to. 2 gables in south elevation have brick pointed-arched openings containing recessed ventilation panels of brick. Yard wall on south of foldyard rebuilt. LISTED GRADE 2
