1996 by Laurent Reynes. A sculpture of 20 pairs of steel beams, filled with concrete and with blue ceramic inlay, and set vertically in the ground at different angles. The piece was commissioned as part of Gateshead's 'Four Seasons' programme for the 1996 Year of Visual Arts UK. It was inspired by the artist's visit to the site on a windy day. Commissioned by Gateshead MBC.

1996 by Chris Sell. A wooden sign post with a carved wheel on the top and two carved reliefs - a mother and child and a man digging. Part of the Marking the Ways scheme funded by The Great North Forest, Countryside Commission, Northern Arts and Gateshead MBC.

1984 by Vincent Rea. A silver-painted steel plate, based on an original photograph, showing a group of people and a dog on the Jarrow March. It was made of steel from a scrapped ship. It was unveiled by Labour opposition leader Neil Kinnock. Installed on the 15th anniversary of the March. Co-funded by North Arts and Nexus. The Jarrow marchers (207 men led by local MP Ellen Wilkinson) walked from Tyneside to London in 1936 to protest about the lack of jobs.

1992 by William Pym. This is a polychrome sculpture made from forged steel. It is based on a lily, with the red-painted tubular flower rising from plated green leaves at its base.Funded by Northern Arts.

There are two sculptures here. 'Inter Alia' 1996 by Kenny Hunter stands on the footpath south-west of Moorside Industrial Estate. It comprises of five yellow fibreglass blocks moulded into cylinders and cubes, set into concrete. 'Quintisection', 1993 by Robert Erskine, stands beside the roundabout at the access road to the business park. This is a large polished steel sculpture based on the cross-section of a ship.

There are four sculptures in the park, erected in 1996. The first is 'Metroland' by Simon English, which stands in the southern end of the park. This resembles an archaeological excavation, with stone blocks from demolished buildings laid out into a maze. In the centre are broken pediment fragments. 'Metroland' was funded by the West End Single Regeneration Budget Project. Nearby is the 'Metrolands Arbour' and 'Nine Lives' by William Pym. This is a decorative entraneway into the park, made from forged iton painted in green, blue and red. On the gate is the lettering: "FAR BEYOND THE HERE AND NOW; URBAN ARBOUR; GREEN ARENA". There are portraits of the artist's assistants cut out of panels of the park railings. The design is based on the entrances to the Paris Metro. William Pym also made the Paradise, Oasis and Lovers Gates in the north section of the park. Each gate is wrought iron with lettering cut out on the gate or screen and floral designs and scenery. The final sculpture is 'Sapling' by William Pym. This is a tree made from wrought iron, 2.8m high. It was commissioned by Jacksons (a law firm). It is dedicated to Dr. Thomas Hodgkin who bequeathed the park to the City in 1899.

1997 to 1998 by Felicity Watts. A number of pieces at Russell Wood which was planted in 1996. There is a yellow stone boulder carved into a pair of hands in the prayer position, a red stone block with a whorl cut into one side and hands on the rear face and a white stone block with hemispheres carved into it. The artist worked with Newbottle Primary School and the Scien Raen Women's Group.

1990 by Dawn Whitworth. Commissioned by Northumbria Police. A sculpture of a dove emerged from gun barrels, cast in dark brown metal. This design won a prize in a competition on the theme of peace organised by Newcastle Polytechnic and sponsored by Northumbria Police. The sculpture is cast from the metal of guns handed into police during a firearms amnesty in 1988.
